TAELER: STARDOM Crimson Nightmare Results (10/29/26): Suzu Suzuki Retains, Maika and Rina Emerge as Challengers

World Wonder Ring STARDOM brought a little Halloween chaos to Tokyo on Thursday, October 29, presenting Crimson Nightmare with the World of Stardom Championship on the line, a special mixed tag team encounter featuring NJPW talent, and enough faction warfare to remind everyone that professional wrestling friendships occasionally come with an expiration date.

Suzu Suzuki successfully defended the World of Stardom Championship against Starlight Kid in the main event, while Natsupoi teamed with her husband, NJPW's Shingo Takagi, to defeat Yuna Mizumori and Hirooki Goto. Meanwhile, STARS emerged victorious over H.A.T.E. in a massive elimination match.

However, the evening's biggest development may have come after the championship main event, when Suzuki found herself confronted with the prospect of two significant challengers.

Suzu Suzuki Retains the World of Stardom Championship Against Starlight Kid

The evening's main event featured World of Stardom Champion Suzu Suzuki defending against Starlight Kid in a highly anticipated encounter between two competitors with considerable history.

Starlight Kid entered the match with an important psychological advantage. She had previously defeated Suzuki during the semifinals of the 2026 5STAR Grand Prix, proving that the champion was far from unbeatable.

And considering the championship was now at stake, repeating that accomplishment would have been particularly satisfying.

Kid approached the match strategically, targeting Suzuki's leg and attempting to weaken the champion's ability to generate power. Suzuki countered with her physical strength, repeatedly using her size advantage to punish the challenger.

From a wrestler's perspective, this was precisely the kind of match where strategy becomes just as important as execution. When facing someone with Suzuki's explosiveness, attacking the foundation of her offense makes sense. The challenge, of course, is surviving long enough for that strategy to pay off.

Despite the damage to her leg, Suzuki eventually connected with a series of German suplexes, requiring three consecutive executions of the maneuver to finally secure the victory.

After 23 minutes and six seconds, Suzuki remained the World of Stardom Champion.

But her evening wasn't finished.

Following the match, Maika and 2026 5STAR Grand Prix winner Rina emerged as potential challengers to Suzuki's championship.

Maika appears positioned for the next opportunity, while Rina's tournament victory has already established her as a major threat heading toward STARDOM's year-end Dream Queendom event.

For Suzuki, retaining the championship was only the first challenge. Now comes the considerably more difficult task of keeping it.

Winner: Suzu Suzuki defeats Starlight Kid to retain the World of Stardom Championship.

Natsupoi and Shingo Takagi Defeat Yuna Mizumori and Hirooki Goto

One of Crimson Nightmare's most unusual attractions featured Natsupoi teaming with her husband, NJPW star Shingo Takagi, against Yuna Mizumori and Hirooki Goto.

The encounter was particularly meaningful because it formed part of Natsupoi's ongoing retirement journey, with her final match scheduled for January 3, 2027.

For a wrestler approaching retirement, opportunities to create meaningful memories become increasingly important. And sharing the ring with your spouse in a special intergender encounter certainly qualifies.

Natsupoi and Takagi ultimately secured the victory after 17 minutes and 25 seconds.

The result added another memorable chapter to Natsupoi's final months as an active competitor.

The couple also teased another potential tag team appearance at STARDOM's November 20 Bound for Unbound event, although their prospective opponents were not identified.

Professional wrestling can be an unforgiving business, but occasionally it provides moments that transcend championships and rivalries.

This felt like one of those occasions.

Winners: Natsupoi and Shingo Takagi defeat Yuna Mizumori and Hirooki Goto.

STARS Defeats H.A.T.E. in Massive Elimination Match

Faction warfare took center stage when STARS and H.A.T.E. collided in a sixteen-woman elimination tag team match.

Representing STARS were Hanan, Saya Iida, Maika, Utami Hayashishita, HANAKO, Waka Tsukiyama, Yuria Hime, and Matoi Hamabe.

Opposing them were members of H.A.T.E., including Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Momo Watanabe, Konami, Ruaka, Rina, Bea Priestley, and Azusa Inaba.

STARS emerged victorious after 25 minutes and 52 seconds, delivering a significant result against one of the promotion's most dangerous factions.

Matches of this size present unique challenges. With so many competitors involved, maintaining momentum requires coordination, timing, and an understanding of when to make an impact.

And with H.A.T.E. involved, maintaining order is generally an ambitious expectation.

The victory provided STARS with valuable momentum heading into November, particularly with the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League approaching.

Winners: STARS defeat H.A.T.E.

AZM and Miyu Amasaki Score Tag Team Victory

AZM and Miyu Amasaki defeated Mei Seira and Ema Maishima in another encounter on the Crimson Nightmare card.

The result provided AZM and Amasaki with momentum heading into STARDOM's busy November schedule.

Winners: AZM and Miyu Amasaki defeat Mei Seira and Ema Maishima.

Maki Itoh, Kikyo Furusawa and Rian Win Three-Way Encounter

Maki Itoh, Kikyo Furusawa, and Rian emerged victorious in a three-way trios match against two opposing teams.

Their opponents included Syuri, Ami Sohrei, and Hina representing God's Eye, alongside Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki, and Akira Kurogane of Mi Vida Loca.

With nine competitors involved, the encounter offered plenty of opportunities for momentum shifts and divided attention.

Ultimately, Itoh, Furusawa, and Rian secured the victory.

Winners: Maki Itoh, Kikyo Furusawa and Rian.

Saori Anou's Team Defeats God's Eye

Saori Anou, Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara, and Anne Kanaya defeated God's Eye representatives Lady C, Tomoka Inaba, Ranna Yagami, and Kiyoka Kotatsu.

The victory rounded out an evening featuring several important faction encounters as STARDOM continued preparing for its upcoming tournament schedule.

Winners: Saori Anou, Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara and Anne Kanaya.

Goddesses of Stardom Tag League Begins November 1

With Crimson Nightmare completed, attention now turns toward the 16th Goddesses of Stardom Tag League.

The tournament begins November 1 at Korakuen Hall and concludes November 29, featuring 18 teams divided between the Red Goddess and Blue Goddess blocks.

Among the notable combinations are Starlight Kid and Maki Itoh, Suzu Suzuki and Rina Yamashita, Hazuki and Koguma, Maika and HANAKO, and Momo Watanabe and Saya Kamitani.

Each block will compete in round-robin action, with the top two teams advancing to the final tournament.

For a promotion with STARDOM's depth, tag league competition provides opportunities to develop new partnerships, strengthen established alliances, and create rivalries that may extend well beyond the tournament itself.

And considering how quickly allegiances can change in professional wrestling, November could become particularly interesting.

Final Thoughts

Crimson Nightmare delivered an important championship defense, a meaningful moment in Natsupoi's retirement journey, and another chapter in STARDOM's ongoing faction warfare.

However, Suzu Suzuki's championship future remains the most compelling development.

Starlight Kid entered the main event knowing she had beaten Suzuki before. This time, the champion found a way to overcome that history and retain her title.

Now Maika and Rina are waiting.

That's the difficult reality of being champion. Every successful defense answers one question while inviting several more.

As someone who has spent years inside the squared circle, I appreciate the difference between winning a championship and carrying the responsibility that comes with defending it. Being the champion means accepting that everyone wants what you have, and some are willing to do absolutely anything to take it.

Suzuki survived Crimson Nightmare.

But with November's tag league approaching and Dream Queendom waiting at the end of December, her biggest challenges may still be ahead...
