Eddie Guerrero's Daughter Sherilyn Guerrero Set for Professional Wrestling Debut on November 14

A familiar name is preparing to step into the wrestling ring, but this time, a new generation will have the opportunity to write its own story.

Sherilyn Guerrero, daughter of the late WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero, is officially scheduled to make her professional wrestling debut on November 14 for Reality of Wrestling.

And while the Guerrero name carries an extraordinary amount of history, I'm particularly interested in seeing what Sherilyn brings to the industry as an individual.

The announcement followed an altercation during Reality of Wrestling's Sherri Martel Classic event. Guerrero became involved in a confrontation with Mystii Marks, who blamed her for a loss before striking her.

Rather than allowing the situation to end there, Guerrero got back to her feet, grabbed a microphone, and challenged Marks to a match on November 14.

Reality of Wrestling subsequently confirmed the upcoming debut.

Guerrero has already been preparing for her transition into professional wrestling. She participated in Bayley's 2026 Lodestone camp and has also visited WWE's Performance Center in Orlando.

But there's something I believe deserves particular attention whenever the child of an established professional wrestler enters this business.

A recognizable last name can open doors. It cannot wrestle the match for you.

Professional wrestling is an incredibly demanding profession, physically and mentally. Having a family connection to the industry might provide a unique understanding of the business, but learning how to work safely, develop ring psychology, connect with audiences, and establish your own identity requires dedication and experience.

And sometimes having a famous last name creates expectations that other developing wrestlers don't necessarily have to contend with.

Eddie Guerrero wasn't simply an accomplished professional wrestler. He was an extraordinary storyteller whose charisma, personality, and emotional connection with audiences made him one of the most beloved performers of his generation.

Those are enormous shoes to fill.

But I don't believe Sherilyn should be expected to fill them.

She deserves the opportunity to become her own performer, make her own mistakes, discover her strengths, and develop an identity that belongs to her.

Having spent years inside the ring, I know that professional wrestling has a way of teaching you things about yourself that you might never discover anywhere else.

You learn resilience. You learn accountability. You learn how to trust another person with your physical well-being while simultaneously convincing an audience that you're trying to tear each other apart.

And you learn very quickly that the wrestling business doesn't care how famous your last name happens to be once that bell rings.

Sherilyn Guerrero now has an opportunity to begin discovering those lessons for herself.

Her November 14 encounter with Mystii Marks represents more than another addition to the independent wrestling calendar. And to be honest, I think this is a killer spot to make a debut. I have made no secret that I'm a huge fan of Sherri Martel and studied a ton of her tape to help me with psychology study and character development in wrestling, Martel was a major influence in my promos and personas. So Sherilyn getting to make her debut in a tournament dedicated to such a talented woman is an honor...

It's also the beginning of a new chapter for someone carrying one of professional wrestling's most recognizable family names.

And I find it important to state here that while being a woman in wrestling opens some doors far faster than being a man does in wrestling is certainly true. And being a legacy child also opens some doors far faster than someone starting from scratch is also certainly true. What not enough people realize that while yes those doors open far more easily, those doors also swing back the opposite way just as fast due to crippling expectations, pressures, and lots of people with less than honest intentions taking advantage of them.

I'll be interested to see where that chapter takes her. And may it find her safe, healthy, and happy, as well as successful...
