Authorities Release New Details Following PAC’s Death as AEW Announces Tribute Dynamite

New details have emerged surrounding the heartbreaking death of Benjamin Satterley, known to wrestling fans around the world as PAC. According to reports on social media, the reports allege that authorities responded to Satterley being found alone in a rental vehicle in Des Plaines, near Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Sunday afternoon. Reports further suggest that a passerby discovered him and called 911. Authorities were said to have no indications of foul play or trauma, and his death is not considered suspicious. An autopsy has been performed, but the official cause and manner of death remain pending further testing. Satterley was just 40 years old.

As the wrestling world continues to process a loss that still doesn't quite feel real, AEW has announced that Wednesday's September 30 episode of Dynamite will be dedicated to PAC, honoring his life, career and legacy. The show takes place in Pittsburgh—a city that already holds a piece of PAC's AEW history, as he faced Jon Moxley in the main event the first time Dynamite came to Pittsburgh in 2019. Tony Khan also made it clear that those who choose to compete Wednesday will be doing so voluntarily and, in his words, out of love for Ben. AEW's announcement says Wednesday will honor “the life, career and legacy of one of the greatest people we've ever known.

Regardless of whether or not you're an AEW fan, I hope you'll join me, in tuning in to the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite live from Pittsburgh. For one night let's blur those fandom lines to show our respects and solidarity to PAC, the business he loved, and the ones who love him still.
